Teachers will engage in a backwards planning process to align instruction to student needs (as measured by quarterly assessment data), standards and expected outcomes. They will work as a team to incorporate new resources for establishing the purpose for a unit of instruction, writing text dependent questions, creating student tasks, and developing scope and sequence for instruction across a unit.
Teachers will walk away with a plan for at least 1 week of detailed comprehension instruction and next steps outlined for future planning.
