The participants will be learning about the importance of student attendance. They will be looking at their attendance data. The school GETs and guidance counselors will be in attendance to discuss students with chronic absenteeism and strategize about how they can work together to improve student attendance.
There will be resources from a variety of agencies available for the teachers (library, Whole Child, Cradle to College, Reliable Ride Program, Campaign for Grade Level Reading, Vroom, co-sleeping information, Look Before you Lock, Take Stock in Children, United Way, etc.)
