This course provides participants a research-based approach to designing and managing classroom procedures as outlined in the Charlotte Danielson Model. It will allow participants to evaluate how collaborative procedures with the concepts of standards, curriculum and a curriculum map provide for devising student rapport and strong classroom procedures. In this course, the learning environment is addressed in the context of purpose and appropriateness for supporting student learning to include those students of low income families in Title 1 schools and the collaboration needed in the classroom. Course participants will identify how to develop procedures for student tasks; evaluate types of collaborative structures for any content area and recognize how building rapport engages students in the classroom. The information in this course can be applied in K-12 settings and is helpful for students with special needs but does not satisfy a SWD credit.
